Palace Resorts: Part 1

I recently went with some fellow Smart Moms Travel Agents to tour Palace Resorts in Mexico.  We flew into Cancun on the day of a full solar eclipse, so I took us some glasses and we were able to view the full eclipse upon arrive at our beautiful, all-inclusive resort at Moon Palace Nizuc.  We were greeted with warm citrus smelling towels to clean our hands and a welcome drink.  My room was ready upon checking in, so we went to eat in the buffet and then headed to check out our rooms!  The rooms were very spacious with a robes & slippers.  The room has a minibar and in room liquor dispenser that gets replenished daily, as well as a welcome bottle of wine.  The room has a balcony with a gorgeous view of the ocean with a jacuzzi in middle of the room looking at that view! A large walk-in shower with Chi products and a rain shower head!  They also have diffusers in the room, and you can order the scent you want, and they come set it up for you!  My luggage was brought to my room, so I changed and went to our welcome dinner.  This resort is one of 3 at Moon Palace Resorts.

We boarded a bus and headed to Sunrise at Moon Palace Resorts for dinner.  We went to Agra, which is Indian cuisine.  Then we headed up to Sky Bar for a cocktail.  I have to say this place is amazing! After dinner headed back to the room, preordered room service for early the next morning as we had a full day of resort tours.  Upon arrival, there was a special note and cute desserts from the resort! I can sure get used to this all-inclusive life!

Breakfast was delicious! The fruit is so delicious!  We headed off to tour all 3 Moon Palace resorts and the golf course.  We started at Nizuc, our host resort.  We then went to Sunrise where we had dinner and drinks the night before.  We then toured the golf course and had lunch at the club house, which was Mayan Mexican cuisine and delicious! There was a lady making the tortillas right in front of you! We then headed to the 3rd resort of the day, which was the Grand. The resorts are all very similar and have some of the same restaurants, but a few have specialty restaurants unique to that resort. The Grand is the top tier of the 3 Moon Palace Resorts. It has a waterpark, bowling alley and a speak easy!

The Grand also comes with a higher shelf liquor dispenser in their rooms. You can go to all the resorts for restaurants, but the water park and adult day bar at the pool are exclusively for guests staying at the Grand.  We headed back to the resort for dinner on our own and we ended up eating at the Brazilian steakhouse, which was phenomenal!!  I ordered breakfast for the next morning even earlier than today, as we would be traveling to Playa del Carmen to tour Palace Resorts Playacar then taking the ferry to Cozumel to check out Cozumel Palace.  If you are looking for an all-inclusive resort, you should definitely check out Palace Resorts!  Stay tuned for my next blog, where I will continue the tour of Palace Resorts in Mexico!

Your Bibbidi Bobbidi Bestie,

Jamie
