As I sit here in my room, I look out the window and see all of the lights of Las Vegas (my room literally glows if I don’t close the black out curtain 😅). This place is bustling with people, shows and great food.
I arrived early on Saturday and things were relatively quiet. The city still seemed to be asleep 😉 One of the nice things about the hotel I stayed at - MGM Grand - was that I could check my bags with the bellhop and then sit by the pool while I waited for my room to be ready. The pool was so quiet and relaxing. I found myself there a couple of times during my stay 😉
One of my favorite things to do on any vacation is catch a good show and Las Vegas was no different. There are so many good ones, so it was definitely hard to choose just one. The Beatles Love Cirque Du Soleil show was PHENOMENAL! There was so much to look at and the colors and the songs…just amazing! I found myself in awe of the acrobats, music and the dancing. I 10/10 recommend seeing it when visiting.
Another great feature of visiting Vegas is that you can walk through and eat at all of the other hotels on the strip. From waffles to burgers, even to In and Out, the food was so good! I had the best bread and pasta you can imagine at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in MGM. My taste buds are seriously wanting more!
The attention to detail in these hotels was overwhelming. Walking through places like the Venetian and New York, New York made you feel like you were truly visiting those places. Oh and when you do visit the Venetian, you absolutely need to take a ride on the Gondolas. It is so fun!
One thing I do want to put out there: they do still allow smoking in the casinos. So keep that in mind when walking through there (especially for my asthmatic friends 😉). While I am looking forward to heading home and seeing my family, I am not looking forward to that 3 hour time change and jet lag that is sure to follow 😅
